YTTranscript.tools (“we”, “us”) operates a free online tool that extracts publicly available transcripts from YouTube videos. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it.

- YouTube URLs you submit — processed in real time to fetch transcripts. We do not store URLs or transcript content in a database.
- Standard server logs — our hosting provider (Vercel) may log IP addresses, browser type, and request timestamps for security and performance.
- Cookies & local storage — we use local storage for theme preference (light/dark mode) only.
Third-Party Services
We may use the following third-party services:
- Google AdSense — may display ads and use cookies to serve personalized or non-personalized advertising. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- YouTube / Google — transcript data and video metadata are fetched from YouTube's publicly available caption data.
- Vercel — hosts and serves our website.
Data Retention
Transcripts are fetched on demand and cached temporarily (up to 1 hour) on our servers to improve performance. We do not permanently store transcripts or user-submitted URLs.
Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
